"where we went last fall" contains 45 images from five countries I traveled to during my one semester abroad between September 2023 and December 2023. Divided into two sections—detachment and connection—the book traces an emotional arc, reflecting the gradual shift from disorientation to belonging. Through this photographic journey, I explore the internal landscapes shaped by unfamiliar environments, mapping the quiet transformation that occurs when we step beyond the known and begin to feel at home in the elsewhere.
